Ok, after reading Trinity Blood 5, I realize there's something I'll never get about relationships in fiction.
I quite understand the reason why the protagonist must always fall for the brave, righteous young pure and dedicated girl(that is hypocratical goody-goodiness + lack of immagination), but superpositions scares me to no end. Let's look at it in details.
( the infamous cases )
So, the point is... is this stereotype of being able to fall always for the same kind of person and searching for an ideal model in people you met, the most revolting idea about human relationships ever, or it's just my outcasted guts that twitch in horror at this idea...?!
I find it disgusting but it seems like in fiction it's considered the strongest point in getting to the heart of someone. Anyway, what pisses me off the most is that it's considered cute, appealing, maybe even poetic that this kind of moral qualities has to be coupled with physicall resemblance. ALWAYS.
"look, she's a lot like YOUR DEAD CRUSH/MOTHER, and it makes you squee with happyness and love, doesn't it?"
C'mon people, isn't it plainly insane!? è__________é
